 Michele Limoges-Gonzales, NP
Division of Gastroenterology UC Davis

Michele Limoges-Gonzalez is a Nurse Practitioner in the Division of Gastroenterology at the University of California, Davis. Her gastroenterology experience includes 9 years as an RN in GI endoscopy and 7 years as a Nurse Practitioner. In those 7 years she has performed over 3500 sigmoidoscopies. In 2005 she completed an intensive screening colonoscopy training program and has since performed over 1500 colonoscopies. She is an outspoken champion of increasing national colorectal cancer screening rates, and is currently one of the founding Board of Directors of C4 (California Colorectal Cancer Coalition). Michele was recognized for her contributions to nursing research in 2005 with the Susan Gortner Award for Excellence in Nursing Scholarship at the University of California, Davis. She is currently the principal investigator for a study comparing NP and physician performed screening colonoscopies for accuracy, safety, and patient satisfaction.
