Joseph E. Scherger, M.D., M.P.H., is Clinical Professor of Family & Preventive Medicine at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine (UCSD). Dr. Scherger is Medical Director for County Medical Services in San Diego, administered by AmeriChoice, a subsidiary of United Health Group. He is also Consulting Medical Director – Informatics for Lumetra, the Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) for California. He is a Fellow of the Estes Park Institute. Dr. Scherger’s main focus is on the redesign of office practice using the tools of information technology and quality improvement. |
