Dr. Kenneth Tai joined North East Medical Services in San Francisco in 2005. He is currently serving as Chief Health Officer and Internal Medicine Residency Program Director. He oversees primary care, specialty services, PACE, mental health and acupuncture across fourteen FQHC clinics serving over 68,000 patients. He serves on Physician Advisory and QI Committees for Health Plan of San Mateo and San Francisco Health Plan. He is appointed to the San Mateo Health Commissions and has been elected to San Francisco Marin Medical Society Board of Directors.
He has special interest in reducing health disparities; and has presented NEMS’ hepatitis B and colorectal cancer screening efforts at conferences on local, state, and national levels. Under his leadership, NEMS CRC screening rate has improved from 60% to 84%.
Dr. Tai received his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from Washington University in St. Louis and medical degree from University of Illinois in Chicago. He completed internal medicine and pediatrics residency program at Loyola University.
